Standards of Care are the guidelines set forth by a healthcare profession (such as doctors or midwives) that help those professionals and the public stay informed about what quality health care looks like, based on current evidence. Standards of Care also help us identify care (or lack-of-care) that is NOT acceptable based on available data.
